Well the end of the school year is here, and now it is time to enjoy all the graduation and prom pictures that were taken. This first layout I did,is of my daughter's best friend, since 4th grade and one of my adopted daughter's just to name a few. I love this picture, it is one of my favorites of her. She is such a beautiful girl inside and out. I got the inspiration for this page called Mixed Media Layout Tutorial- Once Upon a Sketch Oct. Challenge by Kelly Foster. I thought the tutorial worked really well with this photo. And I hope you agree?

I used Glitz papers, Dance in the Sunshine and 1 sheet of the Vintage Blue collection. That I had in my stash. I used gesso on the back ground, Then layered cut up stripes of the paper and layered them horizontal and vertical. I put Gesso the top of the strips of paper. then I used Twinkling H2O in Sea Spray to add to some color to the strips and highlight the edges with a charcoal pencil.
Here is a close up shot of the layout, so you can see more of the detail.
After alll the fun with the Gesso, H2O's and pencils, it was time for the layering I used some string to little metal frames, I got from a swap( wish I could remember who) then cut out two of the flowers from one of the sheets of paper, used a #8 tag, some cutouts from Prima Romance Novel Collection. Inked all the edges. Also used a yellow Gardenia from Stamping Scrapping , Premium Gardenia pkg. Pastel collection of 7. And the title is cut from a sheet of the Prima Lyric collection.

I hope you enjoy this layout and watch Kelly Foster's video that inspired this layout. And I hope ya'll have have a great day. Till the next time.
